Services
We believe that clients should only pay for the advice and help they need. Many of our clients are gardeners who opt for an hour or two of consulting, for assistance with plant choice and garden design, and then they purchase and install the plants themselves. This allows for a great result with minimal cost. Other clients want more detailed designs and need someone else to do the dirty work. Whatever level of assistance you require in creating your ecologically sound, aesthetically pleasing, and wildlife attracting garden, Harmony Wildflowers can work with you.
- Consulting
Need some advice on what plants should be planted in your soil type and moisture level? Want to know which plants compliment each other in bloom time, size, and color? Looking for a plants to provide you with 3 seasons of color? Interested in adding plants that attract butterflies and birds? Love the idea of natives but want a garden that will remain neat and tidy? Need some technical assistance with planning and installing a raingarden that will be sure to function properly? All these questions and more can be addressed with on-site consultations. - Landscape Design
For those wanting more than plant lists and pencil sketches, more detailed designs are used to give clients a better idea of the final look of their garden. We also prefer to draw up designs for installations so everyone is clear on the expected outcome.
- Installation
We think that installing plants is one of the most fun parts of our job. It is the actualization of someone's dream. What could be better? If you prefer to do this yourself, it's a great way to become better acquainted with your plants. If not, we're happy to help.
-Maintenance
All gardens need some level of maintenance to look their best. If plants are appropriately chosen, native gardens generally need the most maintenance in their first 3 years after installation. We offer maintenance service contracts for gardens we design and install. We can also arrange separate maintenance services for other native gardens.
-Nursery
We carry over 100 species of native perennials appropriate for upland prairie wildflower gardens, raingardens, ally gardens, and woodland gardens. Several more species are available in limited quantities and are therefore not listed in the catalog, so please inquire about other species you may want.
Our mission is simple: help clients (1) create native habitat within beautiful gardens that are eye-catching year round; (2) enjoy low-maintenance landscaping from the street, from a picture window, or from up-close exploration; (3) enhance water quality by creating alternatives to stormwater runoff.
